Why We Built TrustHelm
TrustHelm was born from firsthand experience with what happens when a trust isn't properly maintained.
A member of our founding team watched their family go through a multi-year probate process after a loved one passed with an outdated trust. Beneficiary designations had changed over the years but weren't fully documented. Asset records were incomplete. In the end, the family lost real assets — including property held by a foreign bank — simply because the paperwork wasn't current.
It was years of legal fees, family stress, and preventable loss. And the hardest part was knowing it didn't have to happen.
That experience made one thing clear: families need a simple, affordable way to keep their trusts organized and up to date — not just at signing, but for the life of the trust.
